Applications of Topology to the Detection of Ventricular Tachycardia

In this paper, we study the applications of persistent homology and simplicial complexes, specifically the Vietoris Rips Complex, to the modeling of ECG data of patients with Ventricular Tachycardia, a condition in which the ventricles of the heart beat abnormally quickly. We then compare the results to those from healthy controls, and examine the differences between the persistence diagrams and persistence images generated from the homology.

Breast Cancer Diagnostic Classification Model

In this project, I analyzed the breast cancer dataset using various data visualization and machine learning techniques. I initially visualized the relationship between different features and cancer diagnoses, then applied and tuned a K-Nearest Neighbors classifier to predict cancer outcomes, ultimately identifying the optimal model parameters for the best prediction accuracy.

Java Chess AI

Utilized polymorphic patterns in Java to recreate a virtual game of chess with graphics supported by the Java Swing and Java AWT libraries. Created an artificial intelligence to play the game, that sees mutliple turns ahead and utilizes a minimax algorithm to play accurate moves. Implemented alpha beta pruning to make the algorithm faster, and custom board evaluation heuristics to optimize the bots control of the center and endgame tactics.

In developing the website for Provita Pharmaceuticals, a student-run company based at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ, I prioritized a clean and user-friendly design to showcase the company's diverse research areas. Provita focuses on creating innovative technologies and drugs to improve lives around the world, with projects spanning from skeletal reparative treatments to other therapeutic areas like orthopaedics, virology, and dermatology.

KickStop Footwear Web App

KickStop is a full stack web application for footwear shopping, developed using the Angular framework. The application features a secure user login and authentication system powered by Firebase, ensuring a safe browsing experience. The website's real time database allows users to conveniently track their cart history, enabling them to pick up shopping right where they left off, as well as track their past order history.

Haitian Alliance for Community Action Webpage

Worked as lead developer and utilized the bootstrap front end framework to create a mobile responsive web page in parternship with the Haitian Alliance for Community Action non profit, an organization dedicated to the distribution of resources to underprivileged populations in Haiti. Created interfaces for users to donate to the cause, contact the charity, interact with the HACA blog page, view a gallery of HACA's work, and more.

Image Filtering Software

Developed an image filtering software as a part of the Harvard CS50 cirriculum, using C to implement filters such as grayscale, edge detection, reflect, and blur for image manipulation. Applied advanced algorithms like the Sobel operator for precise edge detection, and optimized the program's execution through effective memory management and minimizing resource usage.
